LLDPE

LLDPE, linear low-density polyethylene, in film grades for blown and cast film extrusion. It is close to LDPE in flexibility and to HDPE in strength, and it resists puncture and tearing well. That is why it goes into stretch film and strong trash bags, and into blends with LDPE or HDPE as a strength-boosting additive. The grade is chosen by MFI, density and comonomer: butene C4, hexene C6 or octene C8.
